Competitions and camps in Egypt – Domča

Our trip to Hurghada to practice my foil skills while improving and expanding my collection of tricks on twintip. The week passed like water and I got my first runs and rides on race foil together with Flymaax BOOM v2. Awesome! I’m now at the stage where I’m starting to learn downwind and upwind turns (gybe and tack). As much as I’d like to rush it and master the turns in a snap of my fingers, the progression of turns will unfortunately take longer, but that’s something to be reckoned with. The good news though is that we have another beautiful week ahead of us, so hopefully it will work out.

Yesterday, October 26, 2021, we hosted the 2021 Bejkroll Kite
Challenge here at Paradise kitesurf. It was a day well used, full of fun and enjoyment by the competitors. The race was divided into 2 categories, race and freestyle. First up was the freestyle for fear of lighter winds around lunchtime. The freestyle had a total of 15 competitors, men and women combined. The race was run on a 3 lap basis, with the female competitors splitting into pairs and dialling 4 tricks together on a wheel of fortune. Whoever could do more tricks would advance. I unfortunately dropped out in the 1st round due to a small complication, but thanks to the good relationships between the competitors, I got a second chance and made it through to the final round itself. Thanks to that I take a nice 3rd place.

The second category of the race was held in weaker wind and therefore the selection of the kite was very difficult. Two rounds, 5 buoys. The range of times was between 5 – 13 minutes. So from this category I take 5th place with a time of 7 minutes. The race was a great experience for me and I can’t wait for the next event.

Bejkroll!!🤘🏼
